ABOUT US
Prestige Cabinet: Contemporary Italian Cabinetry for Saddleback Valley Homes
Prestige Cabinet designs, manufactures, and installs luxury cabinetry for kitchens, closets, and living spaces across Orange County. Every cabinet is made in Italy and designed in California, fitted with German-engineered hardware, and backed by up to 5 years warranty. For families shopping for modern kitchen cabinets in Mission Viejo, our Laguna Niguel showroom is only a short drive away, so you can see the quality before you commit.
Mission Viejo was built as a master-planned community, and many of its homes still have the kitchens they were built with: closed layouts, soffits above the cabinets, and oak doors that have seen decades of family life. Our designers know these floor plans well, from neighborhoods around Lake Mission Viejo to homes in Aegean Hills, Pacific Hills, and near the Mission Viejo Country Club. We help you keep what works, rethink what does not, and create a modern kitchen that feels fresh for years to come. Because our showroom is so close, follow-up meetings and finish reviews are easy to fit around school pickups and work schedules.
Why Prestige Cabinet
Why Mission Viejo Families Choose Prestige Cabinet for Contemporary Kitchens
A modern kitchen should be beautiful, but it also has to handle school lunches, weeknight dinners, and weekend gatherings. Here is why Mission Viejo homeowners trust Prestige Cabinet with the busiest room in the house. Every design decision we make is aimed at a kitchen that looks calm, cleans easily, and stands up to everyday life.
Built in Italy to Last
Prestige Cabinet cabinetry is manufactured in Italy by specialists in contemporary kitchens, then shipped to Southern California for installation. Precisely machined boxes, tight and consistent door reveals, and durable finishes mean your kitchen keeps its crisp, modern look through years of daily use. Our materials meet CARB and EPA TSCA Title VI formaldehyde emission standards for composite wood, which matters for families who spend so much time together in the kitchen.
Design That Fits Real Life
Our designers start with how your household actually works. Who cooks? Where do backpacks land after school? Where should snacks live so kids can reach them without getting in the way? Where does the dog food go, and where do the mail and keys end up? From there, we plan zones for prep, cooking, cleanup, and gathering, then choose storage that keeps each zone organized. The result is a modern kitchen that stays calm and uncluttered even on the busiest days, because everything finally has a home. We also think about the rooms around the kitchen, so the new cabinetry flows naturally into your family room and dining area.
One Accountable Team
From your first showroom visit to the final adjustment, Prestige Cabinet manages the entire cabinetry process. We start with a free consultation, build a 3D rendering of your new kitchen, and refine it with you until it is right. Then we coordinate manufacturing, delivery, and professional installation, and we can work alongside your contractor when you have one. Every cabinet is backed by up to 5 years warranty, so your investment is protected for as long as you own your home. You always know who to call, and you never have to chase separate vendors for answers.
From Dated to Modern
Transforming Mission Viejo's Original Kitchens
Many Mission Viejo kitchens were designed for a different era. Upper cabinets stop short of the ceiling, leaving soffits or dusty gaps. Corner cabinets swallow pots and pans. Doors with raised panels and heavy trim make the room feel smaller and darker than it is.
Modern cabinetry changes all of that. Full-height upper cabinets reclaim wasted space. Flat slab doors and handleless designs create a clean, bright backdrop. Deep drawers replace hard-to-reach base shelves, and smart corner solutions make every inch usable. In many homes, we can keep existing plumbing and appliance locations while completely transforming how the kitchen looks and works. Your designer will show you exactly what is possible in a 3D rendering before any work begins. Seeing the finished kitchen in advance takes the guesswork out of the project and helps the whole family agree on the design.
Family-Friendly Modern Kitchen Design
Modern does not mean fragile. Prestige Cabinet kitchens are designed for real families, with finishes and hardware chosen to handle daily life:
- Easy-clean surfaces: matte and textured finishes that hide fingerprints and wipe clean quickly.
- Soft-close everything: German-engineered hinges and drawer runners that prevent slamming and help protect little fingers.
- Kid-friendly storage: lower drawers for snacks and dishes, so children can help without climbing.
- Homework and hosting zones: islands with seating and storage for school supplies, charging, or serving.
- Tall pantry walls: pull-out interiors that keep groceries organized and visible.
Every feature is planned around your household, so your modern kitchen looks polished for guests and works hard for everyone who lives there. Your designer will walk you through each option in the showroom, so you can test drawers, compare finishes, and decide what matters most to your household.
Modern Styles and Finishes to Match Your Taste
Modern kitchens come in more than one flavor. Some Mission Viejo homeowners love a crisp, minimalist look with white or light-gray high-gloss lacquer. Others prefer the warmth of natural wood veneer cabinets, which pair beautifully with the area’s hillside views, lakeside lifestyle, and outdoor living. A two-tone modern kitchen, with a wood island and painted or lacquered perimeter, is a popular way to combine both. Handleless doors, slim pulls, or integrated channels let you fine-tune how minimal the finished look feels.
With hundreds of finishes to choose from, our designers help you build a palette around your flooring, countertops, and natural light. Visit our Laguna Niguel showroom to see door styles and finishes side by side, open drawers, and feel the quality of Italian-made cabinetry for yourself. Bring your countertop or flooring samples, and we will help you see how everything works together before you commit.

Frequently Asked Questions About Modern Kitchen Cabinets in Mission Viejo
Can I modernize an older Mission Viejo kitchen without moving walls?
Yes. Many kitchens can keep their existing footprint. By replacing the cabinetry, extending upper cabinets to the ceiling, removing soffits where possible, and choosing clean modern door styles, we can make a kitchen feel dramatically larger and brighter without structural changes. Smart storage inside the cabinets, such as deep drawers and corner pull-outs, adds function without adding square footage. If you would like to open a wall or enlarge an island, our designers can coordinate with your contractor to plan it properly. Either way, a 3D rendering shows you the result before any work begins.
How much do modern kitchen cabinets in Mission Viejo cost?
The cost depends on the size of your kitchen, the layout, the door style, the finish, and the storage accessories you choose. A kitchen with high-gloss lacquer, a large island, and integrated appliance panels will be priced differently from a smaller kitchen with matte slab doors. Because every Prestige Cabinet kitchen is custom, we provide an accurate, itemized quote after your free design consultation. Our designers can also show you where to invest for the biggest impact and where to simplify, so your new kitchen fits both your vision and your budget. There is no obligation, and the consultation alone often helps families clarify priorities before they spend a dollar.
Which modern cabinet finishes are best for families with kids?
Matte and textured finishes are usually the most forgiving choice for busy households, because they hide fingerprints and smudges better than high gloss. Wood veneer adds warmth and disguises everyday wear well. High-gloss lacquer is easy to wipe clean and makes a room feel brighter, but it shows fingerprints more, so many families use it on upper cabinets and choose matte for lower cabinets. Our designers will help you balance style and practicality based on how your household uses the kitchen. Seeing the finishes side by side in our showroom makes the choice much easier.
Can a modern kitchen be designed for aging in place?
Yes. Planning a new kitchen to stay comfortable for years to come is a smart move for any Mission Viejo homeowner. Modern cabinetry lends itself to accessible design: drawers instead of low shelves, pull-out pantry systems, easy-open handleless or push-to-open doors, and storage placed within comfortable reach. Our designers can plan these features from the start so the kitchen looks sleek today and stays practical as your needs change. If you need a kitchen that meets specific accessibility requirements, let us know during your consultation. We can also coordinate with your contractor so the design supports your specific needs, and every cabinet still carries up to 5 years warranty.
