ABOUT US
Prestige Cabinet: Kitchen Renovation Specialists for Saddleback Valley
Prestige Cabinet designs, manufactures, and installs luxury cabinetry for kitchens, closets, and living spaces throughout Orange County.
Our cabinets are made in Italy, designed in California, fitted with German-engineered hardware, and backed by up to 5 years warranty. Because cabinetry shapes the layout, storage, and style of the whole room, it is where every successful kitchen remodel begins, and it is where our team focuses its expertise.
Homeowners planning kitchen remodeling in Mission Viejo often come to us with the same goals: open up a closed kitchen, add an island, fix a layout that no longer fits the family, and replace tired finishes with something that feels current. Our designers start with your floor plan, then plan the cabinetry, appliance locations, and workflow around how you actually cook and gather. When your project involves plumbing, electrical, or structural changes, we coordinate closely with your licensed contractor so everything fits together on schedule.
Why Prestige Cabinet
Why Mission Viejo Homeowners Trust Prestige Cabinet With Their Kitchen Renovation
A kitchen remodel is one of the biggest investments you will make in your home, and the decisions made at the design stage decide how the finished room looks, works, and lasts. That is why homeowners choose Prestige Cabinet to lead the design of their kitchen remodeling in Mission Viejo. We make the plan clear before work begins, so there are fewer surprises once it does.
A Design-First Remodeling Approac
Every Prestige Cabinet project starts with a conversation, not a catalog. Your designer learns how your household cooks, entertains, and stores things, then measures the space and builds a detailed 3D rendering. You can see the new layout, cabinet heights, island size, and finish palette before anything is ordered. Revisions happen on screen, where they are free, instead of on the job site, where they cost time and money.
Italian Cabinetry at the Heart of the Remodel
Cabinetry is the largest visible element in most kitchens, so its quality defines the finished result. Our cabinets are manufactured in Italy with precisely machined boxes, consistent door reveals, and durable lacquer, matte, and wood veneer finishes. Materials meet CARB and EPA TSCA Title VI formaldehyde emission standards for composite wood, and every cabinet carries our 5 years warranty.
Clear Plans, Itemized Quotes, One Point of Contact
Remodels go off track when information gets lost between people. With Prestige Cabinet, you have one design team for the cabinetry from the first sketch to the final adjustment. We provide an itemized quote, share drawings your contractor can build from, coordinate delivery around the job schedule, and handle professional cabinet installation. You always know who to call and what happens next.
Our Kitchen Remodeling Process, Step by Step
A well-run remodel follows a clear sequence, and knowing that sequence up front takes much of the stress out of the project. Here is how a Prestige Cabinet project for kitchen remodeling in Mission Viejo moves from idea to finished kitchen:
- Consultation: Visit our Laguna Niguel showroom to talk goals, budget, and style, and to see finishes and hardware in person.
- Measure and design: We measure your kitchen and create a 3D rendering of the new layout and cabinetry.
- Refine and quote: You review the design, choose finishes, and receive an itemized quote.
- Manufacturing: Your cabinets are built to order in Italy while your contractor prepares the space.
- Installation: Our installers set, level, and adjust every cabinet, then fit panels, fillers, and hardware.
- Final walkthrough: We review every door and drawer with you and make final adjustments.
Your designer will explain what happens at each stage and when decisions are needed, so countertop templating, appliance deliveries, and trade work can be scheduled with confidence. Countertops, for example, are usually templated only after the cabinets are installed and level, so getting the cabinetry right keeps the rest of the schedule on track. Choosing appliances early matters too, because exact model dimensions determine panel sizes, filler widths, and ventilation clearances. We confirm those details during design, not on installation day.
Rethinking the Layout: Islands, Open Plans, and Better Workflow
Changing the cabinetry is the moment to fix how the kitchen works, not just how it looks. Many Mission Viejo homes have kitchens that feel closed off from the family room, or islands that are too small to be useful. During the design stage, we explore options such as:
- Adding or enlarging an island with seating, prep space, and deep drawer storage.
- Opening the kitchen to the family or dining room, with your contractor and, where needed, an engineer confirming what the structure allows.
- Reorganizing work zones so prep, cooking, cleanup, and coffee or snack stations don’t collide.
- Tall pantry and appliance walls that bring ovens, refrigeration, and storage into one clean run.
- Integrated panels that let appliances disappear into the cabinetry.
Our designers follow established planning guidance, such as the NKBA Kitchen and Bath Planning Guidelines, for clearances and work areas, then tailor it to your space. We also look at lighting, outlets, and ventilation early, so under-cabinet lights, charging drawers, and range hoods are built into the plan rather than added as afterthoughts. Explore custom kitchen cabinets and two-tone modern kitchens for layout inspiration.
Planning Around Permits, HOAs, and Everyday Life
A smooth renovation is planned well beyond the cabinets. Work that changes plumbing, electrical, gas lines, or walls typically requires permits, and the City of Mission Viejo Building Services division publishes guidance for residential kitchen remodels. Your contractor pulls the permits, and we supply cabinet drawings and specifications to support the plans.
Many Mission Viejo neighborhoods also have homeowners associations. If your HOA reviews exterior work, deliveries, or work hours, we plan around those rules. Because many families stay at home during the remodel, we help you plan the sequence so the kitchen is out of service for as short a time as practical. Ask your designer about setting up a temporary kitchen in a nearby room while work is underway.
Good planning also protects your budget. Settling the layout, finishes, and appliance list before demolition means fewer change orders once walls are open. That is the difference between kitchen remodeling in Mission Viejo that runs smoothly and a project that drags on, and it is why we put so much care into the design stage. When questions come up during construction, your designer is one call away to answer them.

Kitchen Remodeling in Mission Viejo: Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a kitchen remodel take in Mission Viejo?
The timeline depends on the scope of the project. A cabinet-and-countertop update that keeps the existing layout moves faster than a remodel that relocates plumbing, removes a wall, or needs permits and inspections. Custom cabinetry is built to order, so we plan manufacturing to overlap with design approvals, permits, and your contractor’s preparation work. Your designer will give you a project-specific schedule after the consultation and measure, so you know when each phase starts and when the kitchen will be ready to use. The fastest way to shorten a remodel is to make decisions early: finalize the layout, finishes, and appliances before demolition, and keep changes to a minimum once construction starts. Our showroom makes those decisions easier, because you can compare door styles, finishes, and hardware in person instead of guessing from photos.
Do I need a permit for kitchen remodeling in Mission Viejo?
It depends on the work. Replacing cabinets in the same locations is different from moving plumbing, adding circuits, relocating a gas line, or taking out a wall, which typically require permits and inspections. The City of Mission Viejo Building Services division publishes guidance for residential kitchen remodels, and your licensed contractor normally pulls the permits. Prestige Cabinet supplies detailed cabinet drawings and specifications to support the permit plans. Always confirm requirements for your specific project with the city before work begins.
Does Prestige Cabinet handle the whole remodel or just the cabinets?
Prestige Cabinet specializes in the design, manufacturing, and installation of the cabinetry, which drives the layout and look of the entire kitchen. We design the full kitchen plan with you, including cabinet layout, island, appliance placement, and storage. For trades such as demolition, plumbing, electrical, and flooring, we work alongside your licensed contractor and coordinate schedules so the project flows smoothly. If you don’t have a contractor yet, ask your designer during the consultation about how we can help you move forward.
Can we stay in our home during a kitchen renovation?
Yes, many families do. The key is planning. We help you sequence the project so the kitchen is unavailable for as short a time as practical, and many households set up a temporary kitchen with a microwave, coffee maker, and small refrigerator in a nearby room. Your contractor will manage dust control and protect the rest of the home. Knowing the schedule in advance makes it much easier to plan meals, school routines, and work-from-home days.
Is a kitchen remodel worth the investment?
For many homeowners, yes. In the National Association of Realtors’ 2025 Remodeling Impact Report, a kitchen upgrade earned a Joy Score of 10, among the highest of any project for homeowner satisfaction, and Realtors named it the project with the largest increase in demand over the past two years. Beyond resale appeal, a well-designed kitchen improves how you live every day. Italian-made cabinetry and up to 5 years warranty help protect that investment for as long as you own your home.
